Our Leicester Workshop and Commitment to Honest Timber Craft

Mindfultasknotes was established in Leicester out of a profound respect for domestic timber heritage. Witnessing well-built family heirlooms discarded or damaged by aggressive commercial chemical baths, our founders committed to traditional, reversible methods that honour the integrity of old-growth wood.

From our workshop on De Montfort Street, we undertake the repair, re-gluing, and surface conservation of tables, cabinets, and seating. Every project begins with a careful physical assessment of joint stability, grain direction, and original finishes before a single tool touches the piece.

We conduct our trade with open transparency. Clients receive comprehensive written quotations, direct communication with our working cabinetmakers, and the reassurance of thirty days of dedicated post-completion care.

We assess every item on its individual merits, selecting period-appropriate timber and natural oils that honour the original craftsman.
